How to use these pages

  1. Trace the dotted letter with a finger first, then with a chunky crayon.
  2. Say it out loud together, then sing that line of Lumi's ABC song ("A is for apple!").
  3. Colour the little picture box and find something at home that starts with that letter.
  4. Stick it on the fridge and celebrate!

Tips for grown-ups

  • Start with the letters in your child's name before working through A to Z.
  • A chunky crayon is easier for small hands than a thin pencil.
  • Trace with a finger first, then with a crayon. Wobbly lines are fine.
  • Sing the letter's line from the ABC song, like "A is for apple", while you trace.

Sing along: the song that goes with these pages.

Toddlers are still building hand strength, so scribbles near the line are a great start. Keep it playful and stop while it's still fun. More ideas: ABC & Phonics songs and games.
