A parents' guide to LumiLand
How to make LumiLand part of a healthy, happy routine: watch together, sing together, and know when to switch off.

LumiLand is made for toddlers and preschoolers to enjoy with a grown-up. Health experts in Canada and the US suggest about one hour or less a day of high-quality programming for children aged 2 to 5, ideally watched together. Under 2, the Canadian Paediatric Society recommends no screen use (video chatting aside), and the American Academy of Pediatrics says that if you introduce media at 18 to 24 months, choose high-quality programming and watch together.
Our promise to families
- Clear words and lots of repetition, so little ears can follow and join in.
- Kind, positive characters who share, help and try again.
- Every letter, number and colour checked before a song is released.
- Full lyrics on every episode page, so you can keep singing with the screen off.
- Nothing to buy. Our songs and printables are free.
- No data from children. This website has no sign-ups, cookies or trackers.
How to watch LumiLand together
- Pick one episode or playlist instead of letting videos autoplay.
- Watch with your child: point, ask "What colour is that?" and sing the chorus.
- Pause for answers when Lumi asks a question.
- Stop at a natural break: our chapters make a good place to finish.
- Take the song off-screen: sing it in the bath, the car or at bedtime.

Honest limits
LumiLand songs are for fun and early practice. They don't replace the people in your child's life: you, their teachers, their doctor, or a speech or child development professional. If you have any worries about how your child is growing, the CDC's Learn the Signs. Act Early. program and your family doctor are great places to start.
