Old MacDonald in LumiLand is a LumiLand version of the classic farm song, and it's coming soon. It teaches toddlers and preschoolers six farm animals and their sounds (cow, duck, sheep, pig, horse and hen), plus the baby names calf, lamb, piglet and chick. Bobo is a very proud farmer, with and Lumi, Ray, Mimi and Tuki visiting the farm.
The story
The episode opens at sunrise with a huge "MOOOO" from behind the red barn. Who could it be? Out walks Bobo in a tiny straw farmer hat. He welcomes everyone to his farm, and the friends set off to meet every animal by listening for its sound.
Each animal starts as a mystery shape, with a pause so your child can guess before the reveal. Then everyone sings an Old MacDonald verse for it and does a matching move. There's a cow, a duck, a sheep, a pig, a horse and a hen, and each one gets its own funny moment. Tuki's best quack sounds like "Tweet-quack!" Bobo hugs a sheep and comes away so woolly that the sheep think he's one of them. The pig splashes in the mud, and Ray hops back just in time.
Baby animals and a sound game
Mimi counts the hen's five chicks, then introduces the farm babies: a calf, a lamb, a piglet and a chick. Next comes a listening game where your child hears only the sound and names the animal. The episode also has its own LumiLand farm chorus, which starts: "Down on the LumiLand farm today". At the end, every animal makes its sound at once, and Bobo decides it's a very noisy farm.
